is it possible to use reporting services to create reports and stats from
lists in a Moss 2007 library? And if it is how would one go about doing it. I
have used reporting services to build reports from other sql db's but have
not really understood how to connect it to a specific lib in Moss2007

The databases used by MOSS are standard databases no different from any
other SQL Server 2005 databases.

So you can access document libraries for instance by finding the correct
table in the content database which I think you'll find is Docs.

We used these guys a while back. It does not scale very well but would
work fine if only one or two people need reports.
