wasn't it so that you need SQL client tools on the destination server
so that BE could use the executables from the bin folder?

OK restore the Site, Profile and Services database to the new SQL
server
Then in sharepoint central admin

Choose Configure configuration database server and disconnect from
config database

Then create a new config database on the new server

Change your farm to look at the new SQL server

Chose Create a portal site, but select restore and restore the Site
Profile and Services databases on the new server.

You will also need to select a new IIS virtual server, so you will need
to delete the IIS instance, create it again and then run the above
restore.

VB - I was wondering if you wouldn't mind elaborating on the IIS piece. I
think that is the part that I don't quite understand, and is the reason why
my site isn't completely restored...yet.

Thanks
