Hello,
I have just installed the WSS SP1 and then ran the MOSS SP1 and it
failed with the message " The installation of this package failed".
I've done some research over how to fix this or what my next step
should be but it seems there are different solutions and problems with
MOSS SP1 every where. Has any else experienced this or can you
suggest what actions should be taken next? Thank you in advance.

I've seen this - the problem was not stopping IIS before starting the
installation. It's something easily overlooked.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I double checked again but I did stop the
IIS services before starting the SP1 installs. All the Websites have
(stopped) by them in IIS Manager also. Any additional ideas on this?
Thank you!

Let me also add to this that when I check the version in the Control
Panel>>Add/Remove Programs..the MOSS SP1 is listed and the version for
MOSS is 12.0.6219.1000 which is the correct version to have after the
MOSS SP1 install. I wonder if the installer just messed up at the end
of the installation. Anyone else have this issue?
