Hello all,
I'd like to make it easy for team members to make a sub site using a
specific template. The site has several loaded and people just get lost in
the mix. Is there a way to post a link that will default to a specific site
template and use unique permissions? Kind of like making a custom site
creation newsbweb.aspx file.

Thanks

Update, I found where I can make my own newsbweb.aspx and set the default to
be use unique permissions. Now I just need to set the default template. I
know how to make a particular tab display on page load, but it picks the top
template in the list (which is not alphab.)

Hi Super,

I'm afraid that MOSS 2007 doesn't provide this feature. You need to do some development using object model to achieve this.

It is best if you refer to Developer newsgroups for further assistance. The web entrance is http://msdn.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp.

You may also choose the SharePoint develop forum: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=328&SiteID=1.

Thank you for your understanding.
