It's actually roughly the same as it was in v2 (but moved down to the "web
application" level)
Go to the server and run SharePoint Central Administration (or run
http://servername:nnnnn from the browser with the appropriate port number)
Then Applications management; Web Application General Settings.
The default is still 30 mins and it can be amended.
