I have a file server with indexed content. Is there a way for SPS portal
site (located on another server) to use this index for searching documents
on my file server?
I have one more question. So far, I have used the different method: I was
adding separate file shares fom file server as content sources to my portal.
Indexing (non portal content update) went fine (number of indexed documents
is OK), I have created a separate search scope that "includes no topic or
area in this scope" but instead I checked "Limit the scope to the following
groups of content sources:" and then checked all content sources created
from file shares. However, when I try searching from portal, I never receive
any results from file share content sources. Why?
