It can take 3 full updates before these documents are removed from the
index. The reason being that the crawler may just not be able to contact
the site (for whatever reason). This provides a safety measure just in case
there are other reasons for the crawler not finding those documents.
A couple of ways to remove these immediately would be:
create a Site Path exclusion rule for the site
remove the content source that crawls the site
