Hi,

I have installed WSS 2.0 with sp2 on the windows 2003 server.

When i try to create top level webiste on the default website.. it
creats it.

When I try to apply the template for the created website, I am getting
the below error

404 File or directory not found.

Points to be noted:

Asp.net 2.0 is applied in all the websites.

Web server extensions have asp.net and Windws share point set to allowed.

SQLServer 2005 reporting service is running and reports and
reportManager are coming up while browsing the url.

The server has two IP addresses assigned.

WSS 2.0 is installed using Web farm option and is configured to use for
Team foundation server 2005.

pls. let me the resolution for this issue.

best regards,
Navaneeeth

This was also posted to the .windowsservices newsgroup.

That was reasonable because you are asking about WSS. I have also there
given a suggestion of a (TFS) forum to post it to.

It is however not reasonable to post it to the .portalserver newsgroup
as well. This just causes unnecessary work for everyone via the parallel
thread you have thus created.

In future please post any one question to only one newsgroup
