I'm trying to migrate SPS 2003 to new hardware using spsbackup.exe.

The new server has a clean SPS install with SQL Server Standard Edition.
When restoring spsbackup gives the following error messasge:
"ERROR: Exception of type
Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.Install.DuplicateDirectoryException
was thrown"

The databases seem to have been restored and there are no errors in the
Windows Event Viewer.

Can anyone shed any light on this message?

Some other information:
The old server had SQL Server Desktop Engine. Would this cause a problem?
The new server has a new domain name but I guess the restore process is
supposed to take care of that (?).

Some more info that might be relevant.
This is in the backup log:

SqlError: 'DELETE statement conflicted with COLUMN REFERENCE constraint
'FK_PortalGlobals_SiteDatabaseServiceId'. The conflict occurred in database
'SPS01_Config_db', table 'PortalGlobals', column 'SiteDatabaseServiceId'.'
