Hello,

Up until now I have been able to Edit Documents in Sharepoint Portal
Server 2003. I have Office 2002 and Office 2003 loaded on my client
and I.E. 6.0. By default, when I Edit Documents in Word it used to
open in Word 2003.

For some strange reason this stopped working today. Now I get the
'Edit Document' requires a Windows Sharepoint Services-compatible
application and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater. Nothing
has changed on my client machine.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this is suddenly not working?

Perry

Try running a repair/reinstall of office 2003.
