We have a portal site using the versioning feature in a document library, but
there seems to be a problem whereby a document that is checked out by one
user, can be checked back in by another user. This makes the document
available for others to check out an dedit, and renders the first user's
version (the original document checked out) unable to be checked back in. Is
this standard operation for SPS's check-in/out function, or is there a
setting to adjust the permissions to disallow this ability? i would thin
kthat allowing another user (non-administrator) to check in another user's
document would defeat the purpose of versioning. Any help is greatly
appreciated! Thank you.
