Looking for the best approach to set up MOSS 2007 in a structure similar to
2003 - Main portal area (collaboration publishing template) and my sites.
The entire site must run under ssl/443
Following some other guides, it appears:
1. Create New Web Application at root with collab. publishing template.
2. Create New SSP
2a. Create new web application for SSP with a random port
Now, my issue is how to set up the My Site area. I can't leave the my site
under the root (/) setting as the portal site collection is there from #1.
I don't want it under the web app for the SSP as that is a random port. So,
I attempted to use the url of /personal/ and it said a site was already
created there. So, I tried /mysites/ and it took. However, when the my
site is created it is redirected to /personal/
So, what is the best approach for creating the site collections, SSP for
everything to run fine under 443?
