I am wondering if I can remove the "posted by" field in
discussion board. I have tried removing that field in
frontpage. However, when users with right create a view,
he is able to select the "posted by" field. Any ideas are
welcome.

You can convert the standard sharepoint view to an XSLT view then remove the
column of data or add columns of data.

This has to be done via Frontpage.

James,

I have tried that. My problem is that someone e.g site
administrator may know who posted the discussion by
creating view (select posted by). Then it is not a really
anonymous discussion board.

True. I believe that the same applies to survey's too.

Another possible option is you could assign a specific admin group for that
discussion board. This comment assumes you aren't using the SharePoint Admin
Group.
