Hi People,
I have following questions regarding SPS 2003 and WSS -
1. What is use of WSS with SPS 2003, as I am creating portal in SPS?
2. What is mean by top level site in WSS?
3. What is role of WSS in SPS installation?
4. If I create sub sites to my portal, how WSS is going contribute in it?

It would be great help if any one of you sps reply me with answers in details.

Thanks,
bobi

1. WSS is included in SPS 2003
2. The highest-level site in the WSS part
3. An SPS installation installs first WSS and then (without a break)
installs the SPS bits.
4.Sub-sites are created in the WSS part

Hi SSA and Engelbert,
Thanks a lot for all your reply and efforts.

Still I have few more questions -
1. If I do not install any backward compatibility components, then whenever
I upload the document on the portal site, SPS will save it in SQL DB, is it
correct?

2. How to backup the BCDL and SQL based document library?

3. Can I move all my documents from backward compatibility document library
(Web Storage) to SQL based library any time?

Please let me konw your views.

Thanks,
-bobi
