Hello world,

As far i understand, winCE5.0 is supposed to standardize
a SDIO stack...

I would like to know if it will provide a SPI mode management
and i don't find any relevant informatio about it.

Is sbody can help?

Thx,

I don't believe it will support SPI. SPI has some bad connotations. It=
=

gives the false impressions that a SPI
controller off of any system on chip will do the job. Unfortunately thi=
s =

is not the case. Many SPI controllers are general purpose controllers =

with limited clock rates, FIFO capability and virtually no hardware assi=

in checking for SD/SDIO bus transactions(CRC errors, start and stop bits=

busy). We have a whitepaper on our website at www.codetelligence.com on=
=

SD/SDIO system performance that can provide more info.

SPI is great if you only plan on using memory cards or support 1 kind of=
=

SDIO card and can live with the performance hit or processing overhead.
