    - Autorun on a Toshiba Hi, I'm trying to autorun an app on a SD Card with aToshiba e755. My app works fine when launched manually. It launches automatically if I copy it to \Flash ROM Disk\0\Autorun.exe. So I'm sure the app itself is ok. I put it on the card in \2755\Autorun.exe. It never launches when I insert/eject the card.     - LoadImage API problem I'm developing using evc++ 3.0 non-MFC. I'm trying to use LoadImage to load a bitmap like so: m_hBitmap = HBITMAP( LoadImage( NULL, szTmp, IMAGE_BITMAP, 0, 0, LR_LOADFROMFILE ) ); but I'm getting error C2065: 'LR_LOADFROMFILE' : undeclared identifier. The API description indicates LR_LOADFROMFILE is indeed valid and it says it is defined in winuser.h but when I scan my system for winuser.h files containing 'LR_LOADFROMFILE' the only ones I find are associated with VC++ 6.0. The ones associated with evc++ 3.0 do not define this symbol. I googled the web for information but other than some Japanese sites I can't translate, I found nothing. Anyone know what's going on?     - Leak in Pocket IE using ATL control? I am developing an ActiveX control using ATL. The control is to be embedded on an HTML page. The control is used for displaying images and uses the IBrowser interface to navigate to other pages. Everything works great except that the Pocket IE's memory usage grows unacceptably (> 16K) after each refresh of the page containing the control. I have tried the same code on both 2002 and 2003 and the results are identical. I have also seen several KB articles about leaks in Pocket IE, but all the "fixes" seem to require using Platform Builder. Does anyone know of any problems with ATL controls in Pocket IE?     - eMbedded C++ setup initialization error I'm student learning visual basic .net, and would like to write some applications for pocket pc 2003 Per MS recommendations, I've installed Active sync 3.7.1. I then need eMbedded visual C++ before adding the SDK that allows me to code in VB. I've downloaded the eMbedded Visual c++, but when I go to install it, I repeatedly get "Set up initialization error. There is insufficient memory to run set up.     - Multi Threads and messages boxes Hi all I have an evc4 application that runs on two/three threads. The main one and the 'scanning' one and a printing one The 'scanning' thread sits waiting for data from the serial port and when it gets some it checks is the data 'correct' and if it is save/display if not show an error. This all works fine. There is a loop in the thread which runs 'forever' untill a global var is change to false by the main thread. I now whish to ask a question and await user response before proceding. At the moment this MessageBox is 'buried' deep in the scanning loop. I've also tried it 'outside' the scanning loop but within that scanning thread.Restarting the scanning loop after the question has been answered. The problem is that when the question is on the screen if data comes in on the port it is ignored ... fair enough this is ok .... but after the loop has restarted the data is still 'ignored' ? Has anyone else done any work with WaitCommEvent and messageboxes ? I'm sure I'm doing something wrong as I am new to C programming. I've paseted my readthread code at the base of this message incase it helps explain things ! ;) One important point if NO data is received whilst the messagebox is onscreen then after the question has been answered the program works correctly.     - XML between SQL Server and SQL Server CE over Internet We're going to have PocketPCs out in the field, connected to the server at HQ over the internet through GPRS. It is assumed that they'll be connected only some of the time, so each has a client VB.NET app and SQL Server CE. When some important configuration data (the structure of a survey) - held in the central SQL Server - is modified at HQ, I want those changes to be transmitted to the PocketPCs by XML. I don't want to use replication or RDA, because we're committed to sending the results back in XML format. How can this be implemented? I want the PocketPCs to receive XML with the survey structure. At that point I can get it into the local SQL Server CE database - I reckon it would be quicker during the bulk of the application's stuff to use a database instead of messing around with accessing XML data at run-time. But when the chages are made at the server, how can this trigger the transmission of the XML, and what happens if some of the PocketPCs are not connected?     - CE_RXOVER flag I have a problem with RS-232 serial port (COM1) on PocketPC (ARM) - GetCommProperties(..) function returns strange results: maximum input buffer size (dwMaxRxQueue) is 1 byte! Current input buffer size (dwCurrentRxQueue) is 0, and it's impossible to set another buffer size using SetupComm(..) - buffer size remains zero bytes. So I guess it's impossible to receive any data. Even ClearCommError(..) function says the error flag CE_RXOVER is set (1). And it doesn't matter - whether the cable is attached (cbInQue = 1) or not (cbInQue = 0). By the way, everything is OK under Desktop PocketPC Emulation (x86) on Win2000 with the device attched to COM1. Device - PocketPC iPAQ 3760. Non standart using of RTS (always 0) and DTR (always 1) signals. I am using another thread for reading data (checking for data to arrive with WaitCommEvent(..) function). So, what's the solution? How should I receive data? Incidental questions: 1. What's the difference between CE_OVERRUN and CE_RXOVER flags (ClearCommError(..) function)? 2. Why there is no problem with ActiveSync while using the same cable and PDA? 3. I can NOT set user-defined baudrates in spite of the information given by GetCommProperties function. I can set only standard baudrates, otherwise it remains the same (or 9600) while no error is returned. So may be there is a problem with a driver or particular device? 4. What port number should I use - COM1 or COM2? Both opens and "works" (at least I can send data and receive them on the other end). 5. May be it's somehow related to USB?     - TcpDelAckTicks for PPC Does the tcpdelackTicks registry work for CE? it says it does, but I can't get it to work. When NOT using activesync, I copy a file to the PPC and I see the PPC do a ACK for generally every other packet, just as it is documented. BUT when doing Activesync copy to the PPC, the PPC will only ack at EVERY .2s interval. So if you change the Windowsize registry to 1460 (the MSS), you will get 1 packet for every .2s, or 7k / second >>>> slow. I don't know why activesync is making the tcp behave so differently. I also see in the SYN packet, the it doesn't use the TimeStamp options, that it does when I use the other file copy. Not sure if this relates?? Hi
I am facing one problem. I installed EVC4, .NET SDK, Active Sync and 2003 Emulator . Then I tried to open emulator from EVC4. If I open with default settings it gives the follwing error

The I changed as "Active sync" in both start up and transport
Then tried to connect, it does not give error but not opening and it is doing connecting state all the time
But I can connect to emulator 2002 with EVC4
Pls help me
