I would like to widen the width of the cursor / caret throughout my
device. This is easily achieved in Windows XP/Vista. Is there any
way to programatically (or via registry) adjust the cursor width or
perhaps install a different cursor type on my device?

And what sort of device are you running on? There's not really any cursor
on Pocket PC, other than the wait cursor (no mouse!) Maybe I'm
misunderstanding what you're after. How would you accomplish this on the
desktop?

The op's referencing the insertion point cursor... a flashing vertical line.

afaik, there is no way to modify it, although setting a higher zoom
helps the situation in general.

I asked the guy at the store a similar question. He said it was
possible to make anything larger, just hold it reaall close to your
eye, and everything gets bigger. It didn't much help me either.

Just curious, jminiman, why is this of interest to you?do you find it
difficult to see? Perhaps making the display brighter would help.

Many of us geezers find text size a big issue.

I use reading glasses only for reading, so, it at all possible, I need
to be able to use the device without glasses on the go and have found
that in many places it's possible using tools such as zoom, but, in
others such as PIE on a page with small text, the largest font setting
is insufficient... on vga devices, a magnifying glass may be necessary.
