    - DesktopToDevice I want to use DesktopToDevice() functions in AdoFiltr.dll with an ODBC data source. I have no problem using these functions with an .mdb file. However, I want to use MS Access via an ODBC data source. I am using VB. I tried the following: DesktopToDevice("My_DSN", "", False, TRUE, "\Program Files\MyData.cdb") When I call the function this way I get an error saying the file "C:\My_DSN.mdb" could not be found.     - Intermediate drivers on PocketPC 2003 Hi! I have written an intermediate driver for Windows CE .net 4.1 (and 4.2). It works well on Pocket PC 2003 except for when installed over a wireless NIC the wireless tab in the settings dialog disappears. (Settings/Connections -> Connections/Advanced -> Network Card). The NIC is still functional, but you can't change SSID etc anymore since that particular tab is gone. It might have something to do with WZCSAPI (Wireless Zero Configuration API) but I can't find any documentation whatsoever about that API. Tag: VS .NET 2003 doesn't see device. Tag: 62142

    - App in fullscreen Hi, I want my pocketpc 2002 app to start in fullscreen. I mean without taskbar and startbutton. With the code I now use my app starts good, but when any other program does something ea. msgbox the taskbar appears and I can't loose it. Also when I switch my pocketpc off and on the taskbar appears. Does anyone know how to get my app always on fullscreen? I'm developing in VB.NET with the .NET Compactframework on a pocketpc 2002.     - Using eVC++ 4.0 I want to develop a application for the new Pocket PC 2003. So i followed the instructions to download and install all the necessari files on my computer. 1. Install Active Sync 3.7 2. Install eVC++ 4.0 and eVC++ sp2. 3. Install Pocket PC 2003 SDK. 4. Install the Pocket PC 2003 Emulation Image. But when i want to create a new project in eVC++ 4.0, i cant choose the CPU's platform for the project. All the platforms list is there, but has beed disabled. And also, i didn't see the Pocket PC Emulator in the Platform manager. Only the default device is listed in the Platform manager. Doesn't it suppose to automatically load the emulator after i install the P.PC 2003 SDK and emulator, just like eVC++ 3.0? One point worth noting, during the installation of eVC ++ 4.0 and the SDK, an error message came out at the end of the installation: "There is no script engine associated with file extension: .vbs" Can this be the problem?     - App in fullscreen Hi, Does anyone know how to get my app in fullscreen (kiosk)? Without startbutton en taskbar. I want that my app starts in fullscreen when i start my app. And when you turn of the pocketpc and on again it must stay in fullscreen.     - iPAQ CF driver problem Hi all, I am writing a stream-interface driver for a hardware using CF slot (PCMCIA). The OS is Windows CE. The driver works well with other brands of Pocket PC e.g. Dell and Toshiba but not iPAQ. The CF slot appears in the Expansion Pack of iPAQ. Is there anything of particular importance when dealing with the Expansion Pack of iPAQ? What I use so far is not specific hardware-dependent DDK but just standard cardserv.h etc. Thanks much!     - Emulation and ActiveX control Greetings, I am developing an EVC++ application using a third party activex control. The application runs fine on the target device. My problem exists with the PPC2002 emulator. I used remoteFileviewer to export regsrvce and the dlls for the activeX control. I get errors when I try to register the dlls with regsvrce, the return errors are c1 and 7e. Has anyone had this prolem and found a solution? Also, is there a list of errors and explanation of them.     - Proxy Settings In Pocket PC 2003 registry hi, does anyone know where all the proxy settings of connection are stored in pocket pc 2003's registry? in specific - i've manually entered proxy server addres to "my work network" connection under the connection manager, but i can't seem to find how is it stored in the registry - or anywhere else. The device has a serial port card from SocketCom which I want to use to communicate with my external serial device (RS-232).     - Registry settings for GPRS connection Hi Just a quick question on the registry settings needed for setting up a GPRS connection on Pocket PC 2002 (Symbol PPT2837 device). I've exported the \HKCU\Comm\Rasbook entry and this is being restored from a flash file system after a cold boot, though it doesn't seem to be enough to set it up properly. I get the feeling this is only the modem settings.... Essentially, what we want is that the device returns to a usable state after a battery drain / cold boot. I've got the Compact Framework and our app installing fine, though GPRS and modem settings are still eluding me. We want the modem set up (which I assume is the HKCU\Comm\Rasbook entry) and then this to be set against the default Internet connection. Any help much appreciated!     - Loading PPC 2003 os image on innovator board Hello, I am trying to load a PPC 2003 image onto the innovator board ( supplied by Productivity Systems Inc) with the TI 's OMAP 1510 platfrom .As soon as the OS starts booting after the successful download , the speaker starts generating incoherent noises ( similar to what we get in TV when there is no signal), which is quite irritating . Although I am able to continue my work without any other problems. I have tried this on more than one innovator boards with different PPC 2003 image versions. Note that even if i try to mute the speaker from the speaker control icon on the taskbar in the PPC Homepage it does not respond. Please Help.This noise is driving me and my co-workers crazy.     - Shortcuts In my installation INF file I have the following: [Shortcuts] "MyApp",0,"App16.exe",%CE4% "MyApp",0,"App32.exe",%CE11% "MyApp",0,"App16.exe",%CE17% CE4 is the StartUp folder under Windows, CE11 is the Programs folder under Windows and CE17 is the Start Menu folder unders windows. On my PPC 2000 and 2002 devices all the shortcuts appear in the right places. On my PPC 2003 devices the shortcuts appear in the Programs folder. I do not see a change to these identifiers anywhere.     - Problem creating an application with evc4.0 Hello PPC-world, I have installed evc4.0, the SP2 and the SDK. When I try to create a simple dialog-application for the Win32 (VCE ARMV4) Release I get the error: . in order to run this application on any CPU other than the emulator, you will have to install an SDK that is compatible with the STANDARD SDK for Windows CE .NET, then target a shadow platform pertaining to that SDK. . What exactly do I have to do? With evc3.0 I could choose between Pocket PC 2002 (Default Device) and PocketPC Emulator. I don't see these choices in evc4.0.     - Changing Today screen with new .tsk file, as part of installation As part of a software installation procedure, I need to change the user's today screen. I have created the necessary .tsk file, placed it in the CAB, specified in the CABWIZ instructions to copy it to the right place, and update the HKCU/software/microsoft/today entry. This all works fine. But the Today screen doesn't change. It seems I need to do more than just update the Registry entry: what am I missing? Thanks for any help.     - Welcome to my CE Nightmare... Hello all - I am attempting to send and receive data with a SQL server over a wireless connection with a PocketPC 2002 device. I have tried SQL Merge replication, but I hit a brick wall with it. When I try to run an INITIALIZE / CREATE_DATABASE I am getting the error 80070005. From what I've read, this is an access denied error. I can stop the SQL server, and I get the same error. I checked the IIS logs, and I'm getting 200's on each post this thing makes. I left that alone, and attempted to find a webbrowser component for the handheld - none in site for a reasonable price. The data I am trying to send has to come from a component on the handheld (barcode scanner, to be exact), so I had to use a web browser component instead of just a straight web page. Next, I tried setting up an app with a WinSock component that would send the data in the form of an HTML post. My ASP pages would receive the data, and I would have the app request the data necessary. I followed some examples online, and I can get the winsock control to connect and send data, but it doesn't bother waiting for a response. There's the history. My question is basically this: has anyone out there worked on a similar project, and if so, how did you do it? Even some links to some resources would be a huge help.     - eVC Database Application Being new to PocketPC development (started about a month ago), so far it has been a pleasent experience working with eVC (very similar to VC) and getting things done within reasonable time frame and effort. I used plain text files to store very limited amount of data (few kbytes) and everything works great. Now, I need to create a customer information application, that's where database comes into the picture and I'm pretty clueless on how to do it. To make things simple, I'd think of a single Access mdb file to do the job, but I've heard that ActiveSync automatically converts mdb files into cdb files, it that correct? I also read about the VOConnect and VORecordset classes from Virtual Office Systems, but I ran into problems just trying to compile the sample codes (adoce30.h is missing).     - Compact WinApp & MFC DLL I have a VS solution that contains both a MFC DLL project and a compact C# WinApp project that uses the dll (via DllImport). I added the dll (and exp) files to the WinApp project (solution explorer: add existing) and when I deploy to the Pocket PC 2002 emulator I see the exe and dll being copied but the app fails with: "System.MissingMethodException". This seems to suggest that the dll is being found but I can't find the dll on the pocket pc using file explorer. my Visual Studio 2003 doesn't connect to my PDA Casio
Cassiopea 200I. I have ActiveSync3.7 connected and
synchronized with the device, but if I make a new smart
device project targetted pocket pc I can't connect to the
device having the message the device is not physically
connected to the development computer.
I also have eVB3.0 which I use for other projects and
everything is OK with it.
Things work fine with an iPAQ.

Any help will be appreciated a lot.

Hi,
on further investigation I saw that both my Cassiopea
(running PocketPC 2002) and my iPAQ 3630 (ppc 2002 too)
have problems while connecting through USB cradle, but
works more or less fine through IrDA connection. I must
say that both devices synchrinize well with ActiveSync
through USB cradle.

Any suggestion?
