    - Disabling scroll bars in ListView on Mobile 5.0 I'm using a custom ListView with the LVS_REPORT style, and I'm handling scrolling with my own scroll bars. LVS_NOSCROLL used to work with 2003 and 2003SE, but now I get two sets of scroll bars on my user interface, which really stuffs the program completely.     - Error when openning a DB using CeOpenDatabaseInSession with a sort order Hi all, I'm trying to open a database on WM5 devices using the CeOpenDatabaseInSession function, but when ever I try opening a sorted database by passing the SORTORDERSPECEX struct the CeOpenDatabaseInSession() fails with INVALID_PARAMETER returned by GetLastError(). Changing back the sort structure to NULL of course cause it to work once again without any problem. The initializing of the sort order looks like this: SORTORDERSPECEX SortOrderSpec = {0}; SortOrderSpec.wVersion = SORTORDERSPECEX_VERSION; // 2 with EDB defined SortOrderSpec.wNumProps = 1; SortOrderSpec.wKeyFlags = 0; SortOrderSpec.rgPropID[0] = MAKELONG( CEVT_UI4, 1 ); SortOrderSpec.wKeyFlags = 0; Is there anyone that knows how to resolve this issue?     - ActiveSync problem Hi. I had been using AS3.7.1 for development. Recently, I downloaded and installed AS4.1, which I should probably not have done as I am developing for Pocket PC 2003 (no CE5.0 devices). I have been using Visual Studio 2003. Now I have also VS2005 and would like to start using it. I uninstalled AS4.1 and reinstalled VS3.7.1 but cannot open it. I tried also AS3.8 with the same result.     - CF v2 HTTPWebrequest post file Hello, I have working code for uploading a file to a server using SSL for CF v1. If I export this to Visual Studio 2005 it still works great. However, if I start a new CF v2 project in Visual Studio 2005, and use the same code as before, it won't work anymore except when uploading small files. When uploading "bigger" files (for example 20 kb) it gets stuck after calling GetResponse at finishGetResponse! Currently in my application i flip up the soft keyboard if the focus is on an edit control. But devices like Treo 700w have an onboard keyboard.     - CF 1.0 vs 2.0 or VS2003 vs VS2005 Form Display order - vent I noticed several other people noticed a difference in their application when upgrading to the latest versions. To re-create create a simple form and in the Load of the form perform a ShowDialog of a non full screen form such as an authorization screen(login form). On v1.1 SP3 with VS2003 you will see the main form and the authorization form on top. When compiled with VS2005 and running on CF2.0 you will NOT see the main form being displayed behind the authorization screen. To fix this anomoly I simple added a this.Show() as the first line in the _Load before the ShowDialog(). My guess would be it has something to do with the new this.SuspendLayout() and this.ResumeLayout(). Oh and by the way, for existing applications the .DPI should have been the default conversion for AutoScale, not Inherit for anybody that is listening. But even with that there are to many scaling issues when using a hp4700 480x640. I've read all the blogs but someone from MS needs to actually convert a large CF application to see why some are going to be slow to convert to CF2.0.     - PPC 2003 Crypto engine I need to make the new PPC 2003 use 40-bit encryption for a MD5-RC4 hash password. I developed the code under PC 2000-2002 which used 40-bit encryption and now in 2003 it fails due to the newer 128-bit upgrade.     - can't compile resx in vs2003 after vs2005 conversion Hi All, I have a .NET CF project which I converted to CF2.0 with vs2005 final. After converting the project I am not able to compile resources in the project with VS2003. I get errors like the one below: "Type System.Drawing.Point cannot be compiled into the .resources file. This type is not supported for .NET Compact Frameworks." My other resx files have this error with System.Drawing.Size and others with System.Drawing Bitmap. VS2003 and VS2005 are using different project files - I restored the old vs2003 project files .csdproj and .csdproj.user after VS2005 conversion. I thought that VS2005 might have touched the resx files, not making then compatible with VS2003, so I restored old forms with resx files into a separate directory and repointed the VS2003 project to them. It still would not compile. Could the reason be that I have both versions of Visual Studio side by side. The references in VS2003 csdproj only have this directory: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\CompactFrameworkSDK\v1.0.5000\Windows CE\Designer What's the best way to resolve this problem? This media manager has to also support the windows DRMed audio and video format. Although the files get downloaded alright we need to either do a post-delivery license acquisition or a pre delivery license acquisition.     - NetCFv2 CAB File I am have noticed a problem when installing CF2 on a WM5 device. During installation, it requests a restart. If I accept this, CF2 does not seem to install properly, and does not appear on the Remove Programs List. If I cancel the reset, CF2 installs normally, and does not seem to require a reset at all. I just forgot that File Explorer works differently in PPC 2003 than Windows Mobile 5, so I wasn't looking in the right place for the mounted card. However, I have another question. Is it possible to change the amount of memory available to the emulator? In its initial state (ie, without installing anything new) the PPC 2003 emulator has only about 29 MB of memory available to it. The Configure dialog has options for changing the RAM amount, but this seems always to be grayed out. Same thing for the other emulators.
