    - registry value of touchscreen calibrating & eVC++ exe make for xscale Hello i ve used the registry editor of eVC++ to get registry value of the screencalibation in : hkey_local_machine\hardware\devicemap\touch and i put this value in another PDA, same Model (ipaq 4150), but this one are booting with SD card containing an empty file "welcome.not" to bypass screencalibration/copy&paste/time zone screens...but the calibration set in the registry has no effect with this PDA :(...maybe i missed to do something... 2nd trouble : i tried to generate an "Hello World" application with eVC++...with wizard of course...and i send the .exe created by activesync in my PDA (ipaq4150..PXA255)...i choose "ARM4I release" in the project of eVC++...but in the PDA when i try to launch the .ee it says "not a win32 application" or something like that...i don t understand why so i tried all type of processor type but nothing better... help please thanks Benoît Raynaud PDA is Problem Da i hAve Tag: detecting registration mode LINEREGMODE Tag: 93942

    - HELP! UrlMkSetSessionOption not found in urlmon.lib in PocketPC 2003 Hi all I'm writing an appl. that uses WebBrowserControl in PocketPC 2003 application. I'm using IBrowser2 - navigate works just fine. The problem starts when I'm trying to call UrlMkSetSessionOption API in order to change the HTTP UserAgent. I get a linker error just because the function IS NOT in the urlmon.lib!!! So - I'm asking you - guys - does anybody know why the (damn) function exists in nearly all the mobile plaforms but in PocketPC 2003??? Where I can find it? If not - what would be the quickest way to change the UserAgent before navigating? (I tried OnBeforeNavigate - won't work good enough). BTW, UrlMkSetSessionOption works SO GOOD in WinCE.NET :-((( I guess I have to try IHttpNegotiate - but have no ideea from where to start. If you have any piece of code - it would really help...     - Usage of WceLoad When I call wceload to install my cab package using the /askdest parameter, the dialog that the user sees (the "save as" dialog) shows "(Install Here)" as the "Name" of the application. My cab file has been built with a proper application name and company name (and shows in the installed programs list with the proper name). Is there any way to change/omit this very misleading text?     - ITask and IRecurrencePattern I'm trying to find out if a recurring task occurs on a particular date. I'm able to the get the IRecurrencePattern of the task but here is where I'm having trouble. Whenever I pass a date to the GetOccurence() method of the IRecurrencePattern I always get false no matter how many dates I pass to it. My code for testing the occurences is below. I'm trying to mimic the behavior of the tasks today screen plugin that comes with the Pocket PC. Any Ideas?     - HtmlView in Today item (2003 SE) Hi all, I have a weird problem that only happens on 1 particular type of Windows Mobile 2003 SE device (Qtek S100). On all other devices, the problem never occurs. I have made a custom Today item in which I included an HTMLView. In it I load a local HTML page, so it shows an HTML page on the Today screen. However, on the S100, when I want to go for example to the Power settings (Settings->System->Power), the Power settings screen doesn't show. When I then return to the Today screen, my Today item (and all other custom made items) is gone! So apparently there's some connection between my custom Today item and some Control Panel apps(!?) I don't get it at all! And it ONLY occurs on the S100. Does anybody here have any clue? I use this code, on a ppc: Capture = true; IntPtr hwnd = Win32.GetCapture(); Capture = false; Win32.SHFullScreen(hwnd, Win32.SHFS_HIDESTARTICON); to make my window not to show the start icon. Win32 is a class defined by me where i import the dll's necesary to use this function. Th problem is that tha code works, but after i get to messageboxes from my application with some error or something else the starticon is visible. It happens all the time after 2 messageboxes.     - Asus A716 report incorrect SD card Serial Number I have been running this program in my ASUS A716 PPC for checking the serial number of the SD card. It is interesting that HP/DELL/ACER with PPC2003 report both Manufacturer ID and Serial ID in hexidecimal format, while Asus A716 report only the Serial ID (Manafacturer ID reported as not available), and the Serial ID is in decimal format. What's more strange is that the serial ID reported is not correct. Any body has any idea?     - Symbol PPT2800 - How can I restore to factory settings? Hi, I have a Symbol PPT2800 which has some non-standard apps installed that I would like to remove. One in particular is run when the device is started. I cannot remove them in the normal way (They don't appear in Remove Programs) and deleting all of the entries in the Start Up folder results in them reappearing the next time it is switched on. I have tried a cold reboot but this has no effect at all (no configuration or screen alignment). I was wondering how I can get round this and restore everything to how it was out of the box?     - newbie question Hello; I am new in PDA business. I have a Pocket PC made by Medion. The OS is Windows 2003. I bought the PDA for my wife and she entered all of her contacts and tasks and . into it but forgot to charge it in time and bang! All of the data was gone. What I would like to know is if there is any way that I can set the system to generate a beep or other type of warning when its battery nearly dead? Is there any free software that I can get?     - PPC Theme format I've been trying to find out the format of the of the theme file for my Pocket PC and I've narrowed down some things but I'm stumped as to the format of the .000 file, which is the .INF file. I've found a site that had the format but if I use that format it doesn't work when I copy it over to my PPC.     - can't associate to AP (BSSID) programmatically This is an unsolved problem for all PocketPC models I have tried. Using DeviceIOControl, IOCTL_NDISUIO_SET_OID_VALUE and OID_802_11_BSSID to associate the Pocket PC to an access point doesn't work, even though the docs from WinCE say it should. I get an error code 50, which means that the operation is not supported. I'm not the only person experiencing this pain. But nobody has posted a solution. If anyone from Microsoft, Dell or HP could help with this, it would be deeply appreciated.     - VPN over GPRS connection problem I have a testet vpn server based on Linux. There is no problem with PC's connection with it. When I have a PocketPC in the craddle I can see all data from vpn on my PocketPC. When I try to get VPN connection over GPRS this fails. I don't even know how to connect with VPN ! My GPRS connection works fine. My VPN connection have a proper Host Name (IP also tested), PPTP type, username, and a password. When I tap my VPN connection and choose "Connect" - the GPRS connection is established, but no VPN connection try is done (I've tried to put bad password). My admin says that no VPN connection try is made on the server. Can sb tell me how to estabish a VPN connection on PocketPC? Any help appreciated. I'm having problems with my databases created by myDB.Create(uDB_Name, 1, 1, DB_SortProp); where DB_SortProp is defined like CCeDBProp DB_SortProp[1] = {CCeDBProp(CCeDBProp::Type_String, ID_RECORD_OF_MY_DB, CCeDBProp::Sort_Ascending)}; I can create this databases all right, then in my application create records and put them in by myDB.AddRecord(pNewRecord); and after some time, one more AddRecord-Operation will kill my index. There are still all records present, as I can see by GetNumRecords(), but seeking will give me only a fraction. Deleting all records (not the database itself, just the records) seems to quench the effect; I can then again add records and all works fine until after some time the problem comes back. I can not put my finger on when that - most likely index - problem arises; it can be the third record or the 3 hundredth, it has nothing to do with the record's content, and it has nothng to do with how long the DB already lives.     - Code for backlight brightness level that works on Ipaq, doesn´t on Axim I am using the code below for changing backlight brightness on iPaqs and works OK. But it don't work on Axim (al least X50v). I've found that the program that changes the brighness in Axim modify the same registry keys, and calls the same BackLightChangeEvent (at least has this name on its code, seen with a Hex editor). The behaviour is very strange, let mi explain it with an example: -I adjust with Axim program both ACBright and DCBright to level 1 -Then change the bright level with my program to level4 for both, AC and DC. bright level doesn't change. -Return to Axim program using battery and I can see that the slider for DC remains al lever 1 but the level for AC has changed to level 4!. -Connect AC power: The slider for DC power changes to level 4, and the one for AC level changes to level 1 !!!!. Obviously the bright level remains unchanged Disconnect AC power: The opossite occurs: DC slider to 1 and AC slider to 4. Notes: -The registry keys remains as I have set from my program, but if I change the Axim program sliders, then it set the keys to the new values. -A soft reset doesn't make Axim to change to a different bright level than the selected with its program althought the registry keys were set to other values. ¿Any idea? is it possible to detect the currently used registration mode
(LINEREGMODE_MANUAL, LINEREGMODE_MANAUTO or LINEREGMODE_AUTOMATIC) ? I
know that I can change the registration mode with lineRegister. But I
want to write a application that manual registers to an operator and
registers to the originally used operator with the originally used
registration mode when the application is closing.

Hi Alex,

lineGetCurrentOperator does not help me. With this function I can only
get the current operator not the registration mode. I want to know, if
the curernt operator is register manualy or automtically. I look very
deeply the function TAPI offers, but I can't find a way to detect the
registration mode. There is no problem to get the current operator or
a list of all operators currently available.
