Hello,
I have tried to install a test app on a symbol ppt 2800.
The install files that I have created using VSS 2003 do
not seem to run on the pda.

I have tried multiple ways to install the app.
(1) Setup.exe
(2) Multiple cab files.

none of these methods work.

Do I have to purchase a software package that will do this
for me?

Thanks,

niv

I would copy the files over to the device and try to run
the install. I would then receive and error stating that
the application is not a valid pocket pc app.

Strange because I choose Pocket PC platform when I first
create the solution in VS 2003.

Just a taught from a beginner.
The exe created by VS.
You said you copied this to the PPC then ran it?
Have you tried to run this exe from the desktop with the
PPC attached?
I have come accross installs that work like that.
