eVB app - constant WiFi data

I am trying to write an app that will accept constant data
(simple double values) generated from a VB app running on
my laptop.

I have a peer to peer network set up between the two
devices, but how can I send the information directly to
the evb app or inversely while in the evb app how can I
request the information from the VB app.

Any help greatly appreciated.
