    - POCKET PC: Unable to start... problem Hi all, I need your help! I cannot start debugging on Pocket PC 2002 device from Visual Studio/C# application. I always get "Unable to start..." message. Everything IS running well on emulator. On device: - Application and framework is deployed fine. (Can be started without debugging.) - Application tries to start, wait windows appears - After a while VS stops with message above. Looks like some sort of time-out error. Any help?     - Japanese OS WinCE SE im going to get the ipaq 4150 model with the main purpose of japanese study....being able to use kanji lookup, quality dictionaries and learning resources. Does anyone know what kanji input+dictionary is provided in the win ce 2003 2nd edition(JAPANESE)?? im currently at the crossroads of Japanese OS or English OS pocket pc.. the ability to purchase a japanese model isnt really an issue, its more to do with its functionality..     - Why cannot use SetWindowPos() directly inside of OnSize() I would like to resize the controls in a dialog when the dialog size is changed by the user during runtime. So I called SetWindowPos function directly from the OnSize() of the dialog. However, the software corrupts everytime, with Error Message "The instruction at "0x6c3bd5b5" referenced memory at "0x0000003c". The memory could not be read". To solve this problem, I have to set a variable bEnableResize, and this variable is only enabled in OnInitDialog(). Before this variable is enabled, SetWindowPos function will not be called. Can you tell me why SetWindowPos function will corrupt at the beginning? Any better way to solve it? BTW, is there any function to get the handle of all the controls in a dialog during runtime, so I can resize all of them? Thanks in advance.     - Cab Builder doesn't always work I use The Cab Builder in VS .NET 2003 when deploying an application to a Pocket PC. Sometimes the cab builder works and I can see several DOS windows flash on the screen and the cab file dates are curent. However, many times when I click on the Cab Builder nothing happens, no DOS windows flash on the screen, and the dates on the cab files are not current. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? Sometimes I'll just restart my laptop over and over again and eventually it will work, but that can take days. Any help here?     - ActiveSync 3.7 Partnerships Limit ? Hi all Is there a limit to the number of partnerships you can have setup in ActiveSync ? 10 ? I was having some real problems getting it to connect to a device and i'd tried everything, cables,ports,reinstall etc and couldn't get anything to work until i'd deleted some partnerships. I appreciate AS was probably desgined as a 'personal' piece of software where you use it to sync 'your' one or two devices. I'm working on a project where we will distribute PDA to collect data and then I was going to use AS to download the data from them via the mydocs sync Now that we have PDA's in qty. This possible active sync limit seems to be a problem.     - Backlight on PPC I have been looking for a way to control the backlight on the PPC. My application has a long process and the backlght goes off right in the middle of it. I need to keep the backlight on for the process to complete. I have identified two solutions: 1) The ideal solution would be to keep the backlight on with a function call. Is there a DLL that will do this? 2) An alternate method would be to change the setting of the PPC to keep the backlight always on. Under battery settings there is an otpion that will always keep the backlight on. I would assume that this is stored in the registry somewhere. Any ideas on how I can find what registry key it is? I am thinking of setting the option to keep the backlight on when my application starts and then resetting it to the previous value when my application closes.     - add WEP and renew IP address hi forum, I am participated in a project, part of this project will search the Wi-Fi network and try to connect one of them. I found I am almost at the end of the project, except this problem: after adding WEP, the PPC can not have correct IP address (only 169.254.xx.xx). When I disable WEP, everything is fine. When using WEP, it seems the connection is fine, except the IP address. I searched the forum, seems it has something to do with OID_802_3_MULTICAST_LIST.     - Help: BT audiogate way and analog audio at the same time I have been using the waveOut/waveIn APIs to send and received audio from the audio gateway contained in the WIDCOMM BT stack that came with my iPAQ 5555, this only works when I pair with a head set and open up a BT COM connection to the device that has the headset. My question is how do I have both the iPAQ analog audio headphone/headset port enabled (3.5mm jack) at the same time as the BT audio connection. I want to use the emulator to show what the software programs look like from the screen of my laptop. I am unable to get the emulator to communicate with the Activesync. Hello, I am working on a project where as a result of a user clicking a link on a webpage served from a mini Java HTTP server we've written, a new window is opened (an Eclipse SWT java widget). However, when the window is opened, pocket IE stops completely. The Today screen is behind the java widget. PIE is no longer on the active task list, and if I run RAPI debug I can see PIE being unloaded. The point in the java code where simultaneously PIE dies is a call to an SWT method which, among other things, does a SetForegroundWindow, which is apparently a Win32 API. I am not a Win32 programmer and so cannot directly test this theory, but is it likely that SetForegroundWindow would kill PIE? I am running Pocket PC 2003 on a TMobile Pocket PC Phone Edition device. The JVM is J9, and the SWT version is 2.106 and 3.101. The question seems easy at the first look: I want to show a Tab Control at the top of a big Bitmap control. However, after the program runs, only the Bitmap is shown, and the Tab Control cannot be shown until it is clicked. Jose,

HP/Compaq has not announced any upgrade to Windows Mobile 2003 SE.
You can use the PocketPC2003 SDK with this device even though it isn't running
2003 SE.
