Using EVB3.0 to develop applications for Pocket PC 2002 and Pocket PC 2003
(with runtime file msvbppc.arm4.cab also installed).
When making installation files only ARM 1100 processor is listed.
Will for example Acer N3 with Pocket PC 2003 and processor S3C2410 (Samsung)
be supported?
Next question:
Will any unit with Pocket PC 2003SE be supported?

All Pocket PC 2002 and 2003 devices use ARMv4 core processors, so building
for Pocket PC by nature means all Pocket PCs will be supported.

Please note that, as stated in the Pocket PC 2003 SDK, eVB has been
deprecated. What this means is that applications written in eVB are not
expected to run on future versions of the Pocket PC platform.

To be forward-compatible, developers should begin migrating their eVB
applications to C++, or the .NET Compact Framework (C# or VB.NET) as soon as
possible. To help with this, we're working on a series of migration
whitepapers/samples. Here are the current articles:

---

Moving from eVB to Visual Basic .NET
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnppc2k3/html/fromemb.asp

Migrating eVB File Controls to Visual Basic .NET

Migrating eVB Forms to Visual Basic .NET

If you have specific questions about migrating to .NET, feel free to ask
here or via email (I'm rlevy@microsoft.com).
