Please note that, as stated in the Pocket PC 2003 SDK, eVB has been
deprecated. What this means is that applications written in eVB are not
expected to run on future versions of the Pocket PC platform.
To be forward-compatible, developers should begin migrating their eVB
applications to C++, or the .NET Compact Framework (C# or VB.NET) as soon as
possible. To help with this, we're working on a series of migration
whitepapers/samples. Here are the current articles:
---
Moving from eVB to Visual Basic .NET

Migrating eVB File Controls to Visual Basic .NET
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnppcgen/html/migrating_evb_controls.asp
Migrating eVB Forms to Visual Basic .NET

If you have specific questions about migrating to .NET, feel free to ask
here or via email (I'm rlevy@microsoft.com).
