    - Pocket Webpages Hello, I am new to making webpages on a Pocket PC. I was just wondering if there was a way to make a webpage that will create a message in Pocket Outlook. I would prefer this creates a message in the outbox, but I would be happy just to be able to make a message.     - Listbox Keypress and Keydown events Good day All, I am developing applications using the .net compact framework targeting PPC 2003 on symbol mc9000 mobile computers. I have created methods that use the "handles myListbox.keypress" and "handles myListbox.Keydown". These events are handled when I am using the PPC 2003 emulator but not when I deploy to the mobile device. I have .net compact framework SP3 installed and still have no luck. Any ideas?     - 16/24 bits BitBlt Performance Hi all, I ran some profiling on the BitBlt function on a Dell X50 PPC, and found out that the function runs MUCH slower when rendering 16 bit bitmaps compared to 24 bit bitmaps. I thought it might be because the device display color depth is 24 bits and no transformation is needed, but GetDeviceCaps returns 16 bits color depth, so unless GetDeviceCaps is wrong (which I doubt), it's not the case.     - ActiveSync 4.0 puts wrong CAB on WM 5.0? I have a driver CAB file with VersionMin at 4.0 and VersionMax at 4.9.     - VB.NET CF ComboBox.DroppedDown Anyone have a workaround for this property function that is not supported in VB .NET CF (ComboBox.DroppedDown)? I need to program a handheld for one-handed data entry, and combo-boxes that can not be dropped down by pressing a quick-key are useless to me in this application (no, the alt+down arrow option does not work for the handheld I am using which requires a [func] keypress before the alt and down making it a 3 keystroke operation). I really don't want to have to program a custom control to perform this one simple action. I thought about using SendKeys... but again, not supported in VB .NET CF.     - Landscape Bitmap Rotation Hi all, I'm looking for any info regarding fast bitmap rotation or any method to display bitmaps/text in landscape mode.     - Writing to the storage card I've noticed my application when downloading a file to a storage card(any card, doesnt matter) is much slower then saving to my local memory. This is expected. But I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to improve this. For example, does it help to have less writes to the card but larger amounts? Any thoughts?     - CeCopy Command Line Works, Shell() doesn't Hi all, OK, in VS.net 2003 I'm trying to run a simple Shell() command of CeCopy. However, every time I do, I get an error back saying "source pattern does not match a file: a.txt" However, when I run the exact same code either from the command prompt or even in the address bar of an Explorer window, it works fine.     - Custom Uninstall Question I'm trying to figure out how to remove extra files & folders and registry settings that get created post installation. I've correctly followed the steps in the following article to build a custom installer: http://www.codeproject.com/netcf/PackagingAndDeployingPPC.asp And I've now been reading this related article: http://www.codeproject.com/ce/setupdll.asp So it seems clear that I need to add some code to my CustomInstaller.dll to do the extra cleanup. But in my situation I've chosen not to use the MSI file because my app will see users installing the mobile component on dozens, if not hundreds, of Pocket PCs. So I built my own installation engine to streamline the process. My question is this: Is my CustomInstaller (with the 2 special install and 2 special uninstall events) utilized by the generated CAB files or only by the MSI file?     - Detecting Windows Mobile 5 camera It's great that we now have a common camera API in Windows Mobile 5. However, I can't find any way to determine if a Windows Mobile 5 device has a camera or not. SHCaptureCamera appears to return E_INVALIDARG if a camera isn't present (at least in the emulator) but I'd prefer to have a more definitive way of telling if a camera is present without having to launch the camera.
