Johnathan,

The Express version of VB 2005 doesn't support device development, sorry.
You'll need either VS 2003 Pro (or above) or the full VS 2005 beta.

A low-cost way is to download either Embedded Visual Basic, or Embedded
Visual c++. Although these are end of life (and in fact EVB is past end of
life) they don't come much cheaper.

What do you mean eVB is past end of life? i just started learning it not long ago, have over 16 projects started...because everytime i learn something new, i get an idea for something more interesting to develop...now what am i supposed to do? :)

what i am asking really, is what would be the best language for me to concentrate on? i well versed in a number of old and some new, rangeing from coBol and fortran to Java and VB6. But my latest interest is with my PDA and wonder if am wasting my time with eVB.

Can you advise?

Thanx. :)

eVB is EOL but VB is not. Transfer your knowledge to VB using Visual Studio
2003 Pro and beyond.

You can also look at C++ and C#.
