the function still exists, and is documented here:

ml/cmrefKernelIoControl.asp. You misspelled the function name in your post
below, that might have been why you couldn't find it. There are apparently
some known issues with some manufacturers not including serial numbers,
please take a look at :

I tried to use KernalIoControl and it always return false. I used evc 4.0
help and couldn't find the function. The function is in evc 3.0's help. Does
anyone know whether evc 4.0 still support KernalIoContral. Thanks.
