Hi,
Could someone tell me what software do I need to develop in .net eVB
programs for my Pocket PC 2003?

I have used eVisual Basic 3.0 (including related tools) to code for my old
Win2002 Pocket PC phone edition.

But now I have a 2003 version and am trying out .NET but and can't figure
out what software i need to install .... what SDK? etc.....I basically can't
target a device to test the prg i develop.

I even ordered the MicroSoft Mobile Developer DVD with all the bundled
tools...and must be doing something wrong because i still cant see a template
for mobile device when starting a new project, or see a way to run the code
on my device.

Can anyone help?

For Pocket PC 2003 development with .NET and the Compact Framework,
you need Visual Studio 2003 and you will be using VB.NET or C#.NET, not eVB.
You cannot develop for PPC 2003 with eVB.

If you have a current installation of Visual Studio .NET 2003 and do not see
a
project template of "Smart Device Application", when you create a new
project, run the VS.Net 2003 installer again and select the Smart Device
option to get everything you need to get started. There is no separate SDK
you have to
download, although I would recommend you download Service Pack 2 of
the Compact Framework from MSDN after you get going.
