    - Anyone else having problem with POOM calls under the 2003 OS? I've got an application that uses POOM to read and display apppointments on the screen. It seems to work fine under the 2002 OS, however, POOM works sporatically under the 2003 OS for the same exact executable. Specifically, when I do a ->get_Items() and go through all the available appointments POOM doesn't always return all the appointments! It seems to work ok if I leave out the ->put_IncludeRecurrences(VARIANT_TRUE) call, but works inconsistently if I have this call in.     - Multiple button clicks slow I have a PPC program that has some owner drawn buttons and a text box up top (very similiar to the calculator button). If you try to press the same button (like the #1 in the calculator) in a row the second press doesn't register unless you wait a second or so. This doesn't happen in the calculator program. I can't see what I'm doing wrong. Does that mean that is not possible to connect to an Access Database like you can connect to an sql database without writing an extensive tool? My situation is that I developed an application for pocket pc with eVB to depoly july 1. I developed on pocket pc 2002, when the rest of the handhelds arrived they were pocket pc 2003 (we did not order all pc's at the same time) and my app did not work on them for obvious reasons.     - ActiveSync with Emulator - the old story Hi all. I want to establish a connection to the Pocket PC 2002 emulator via ActiveSync 3.5. The Pocket PC 2002 SDK documentation tells me that I have to connect two Serial Ports of my desktop to each other with a null-modem cable. But I only have one Serial Port. Instead, I've got an USB-COM adaptor, so I can connect a cable between one USB-Slot and the COM-Port. Is it possible to work with this instead? I tried, but didn't succeed so far. Is any special configuration necessary? The background of all this is that I need to get a .mdb database file to my Pocket PC 2002 emulator (.cdb). The procedure described in the msdn ("Move an Access Database into the Emulation") with this eVB-program that converts mdb to cdb (via some "tdb"-file) doesn't work.     - Problems installing SDK - virus checker complains I'm having a problem installing the Software Development Kit for Windows Mobile 2003-based Pocket PCs. I've followed the instructions at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx? FamilyId=9996B314-0364-4623-9EDE- 0B5FBB133652&displaylang=en, except that I missed out step 5 [Install Visual Studio .NET 2003: In order to develop applications in C# or Visual Basic .NET for Pocket PC 2003, you must install Visual Studio .NET 2003 before installing the SDK.], as I don't have VS.NET and I intend only to work in C++. I've installed evc++4 and SP2. During execution of the SDK installer, I get messages from Norton Anti-virus which say that certain .vbs scripts are malicious. The first one it reports is C:\WINNT\system32 \Platman_install.vbs, and several others are reported thereafter. I tried authorizing the scripts, but then the installer fails in cscript.exe, with "The instruction at 0x6b80cb33 references memger at 0x756d656b. The memory could not be read." and several further application errors. Can anyone advise what to do? Is this a genuinely malicious script, or is NAV being over enthusiastic?     - Serial Port Handle not freed when application closed/killed!! I have a static class declaration (global) inside my C dll. Inside the destructor of the class, i free up resource such as a serial comm handle. Problem: An activeX dll is implicitly link to this dll. A client application such as VB is using the activex. When the VB client exit without closing the serial comm port through the activex interface, the comm port is locked! My question is why the serial handle is not freed?? even the client application that loads the activex dll and the dll that actually access the serial port is killed or closed!! If i just directly access the dll that access the serial port without activex, the allocated serial port handle is freed when the client app exit without closing the port. But I need to transfer the records that I can access on the Pocket PC through POOM, to the desktop PC. I am trying to call a user created dll on the PDA (that is tested and works fine when called from the PDA), but I can't get it to work. I am not sure if the issue is my declaration of the function in my class, perhaps I have the wrong type being passed to rapi.dll.     - need help with .net app for ppc I developed an app which consists of 3 forms that the user fills out. on the first the user may opt to close out or go on to the third page. when the user closes out, a file is created and info placed on it. I have used me.close to close the form and name.close to close the file. When I try to run the app again for another form, I cant. nothing happens when I click the icon.     - problem with my vb.net app I developed an app using vb.net for the pocket pc which takes data from a user on three different forms and then creates and prints to a file. I close the file using name.close() and close each page of the form using Me.close(). My problem is once the app closes, I cant restart it again. Which steps are necesary to install SQL Server CE (or other programs) in the
emulator?

I try to conect the emulator with Active Sync 3.7 but it don't work. I have
eVC++ and SDK 2003 and I can run my own C++ programs in the emulator.

Could be instaled in the emulator?
Could I install other software?
