    - Losing fullscreen in my property sheet Hi, I use a property sheet in which only the first page is in fullscreen mode. For that, I call SHFullScreen in the OnSetActive and the OnKillActive of the first page. Sometimes, I need to display a MessageBox, but when I click the MessageBox off it makes my fullscreen off too. I tried to use the OnActivate message to restore the fullscreen state but I didn't succeed. It seems messages don't arrive in the order I expect. Does someone know what happens when we close a message box over a property sheet? In which order do the messages arrive? What is the appropriate message to restore the fullscreen mode?     - Connecting to Internet pass-through on Active Sync I have a problem connecting to Internet when in cradle. I can get Pocket MSIE to work, but not my program. To work out connection, calling ConnMgrEstablishConnection(), using guidDestNet = IID_DestNetInternet. With Pocket PC 2002, this would return CONNMGR_STATUS_CONNECTED. Same code, same call, Pocket PC 2003, I get: CONNMGR_STATUS_NOPATHTODESTINATION. This *is* where MSIE is working. Therefore my app doesn't try to connect.     - Pocket PC 2002 app fails to exit cleanly on 2003 I have been developing a 2002 application for several months. It work well and I have no problems. Using MFC, IP sockets, GPRS and multi-threading. On 2003, it does not exit cleanly. It will freeze for about 5 - 10 seconds before completely exiting. I can of course hide it from the use first to give the impression it has exited. But I would like to know what may be going wrong?     - File Transfer Problem Hii Everyone, I got a fundamental problem. I add a file to my project in .net compact C#, and set it to Build Action to Content. The basic objective is when I deploy my solution it uploads the file to the emulator. This works fine. Now when I use a FileStream object to read bytes of from this file I find that my middle bytes have different values then they have on the desktop. For instance value of a byte(213) in the file on the disk is decimal value, 62 and the same byte in my pocket pc application has decimal value 65. Why is this happening? In my pocket pc app I am not doing any thing except use a FileStream object with the path of the file and then I declare a byte array and BinaryReader ReadBytes method to read into my byte array. So when I inspect this byte array i find that the bytes are no longer having the same decimal values. As I gave the e.g. above byte # 213 on the PC has 62 and on the Pocket PC emulator has 65. And this is not for only this byte but many other. The file that I am referring to is a JPG file. Please suggest me what could be wrong and what is the way out?     - Smart Device Extension Required Dear ALL, I would like to say firstly that I followed Microsoft links and I do know that they want to push you towards buying .Net 2003. I can not afford this and I will not be force into it. I spent time saving for an Visual Studio .Net 2002 and my wife will not allow me to upgrade. I have purchased a iPaq Pocket PC to replace my Visor (which I programmed a lot using AppForge) but now want to rewrite some of me apps using VB.Net. I am aware of Embedded Visual Tools (VB 3) and Embedded Visual C++ 4 (learning is required). Someone out there must have the SDE add-in that will work on my existing Visual Studio.Net 2002., again I can not upgrade to 2003 or use the Trail version.     - Beaming files/information using bluetooth and infrared I am currently working on a Pocket PC application in C#. I would like to allow the users to beam information from one instance of our program to another instance running on a seperate Pocket PC. Furthermore I would like to let the user select which wireless method to use for the beaming, bluetooth or infrared. The problem is I can't find any in depth information on how to beam files using bluetooth. I know I could use the IrDAClient class for infrared communication, but I would rather have one solution that could use both beaming methods. I have heard about OBEX, and was wondering if anyone could point me to a good reference on using OBEX? Or a reference on how to do this using another technique?     - Cannot find file. I am developing a Pocket PC 2003 application that also relies on a 3rd party dll (I have full source for both). I'm using eVC++ 4.0. I compile, link and download both the dll (to \Windows) and then my exe (to \) to the emulator. When I try to run the exe I get the following message: Cannot find 'xxx' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available. Where xxx is the name of my executable. I created a small test program which relies on the dll. Removing the reliance resulted in a running dummy application. Converting the dll to a static lib is not an option. Any thoughts on what I can try.     - Expert Help Needed! MFC dialog code working on emulator but not device Hi, I am using Dell Axim X5 PDA, Pocket PC, eMVC++ 3.0, MFC and I am developing a Dialog based application. Everything has been working ok until I had the following scenario: I have a dialog that on INIT_DIALOG loads strings onto a multiple select list. The string comes from an array in an object that is passed to this dialog by reference. After I select some members of the list I output the selected strings on another dialog using a multiline read only CEdit control on the WM_PAINT event. This works fine on the emulator but freezes on the Device after I select the strings from the list i.e. the output dialog does not open up with DoModal(). Sometimes as I exit the application on the emulator the last window to close freezes. Before strings were selected from a list of checkboxes (instead of multiple select list) and this didn't cause the problem on the device despite that I don't know how to load checkboxes dynamically. I see a similar problem when I load the same strings on a CComboBox on WM_INIT_DIALOG and try outputing them to the same output dialog. Please help. Adolph. Does anyone know how to enable the password protection of
PPC (such as IPAQ 5550, e800, etc) through eVC, eVB or
CE.net coding and the password cannot be disabled by the
device user.

The user will have to go to Settings\Personal\Password in
order to set the password. If a user disables the
password, can we enable the password by an API call or
RAPI call.
