Is they a emulator available that will run an app I created for pocket pc
2002 outside of Vs.net? I'm interested in creating a demo of my app.

Thanks

Although the emulators are technically stand-alone already, I don't believe
that the licensing permits you to deploy them on machines that don't have
VS.Net installed. Have you considered a time-bombed live app as a demo or
perhaps a Powerpoint slideshow that illustrates the features?

How would I do that? If I deployed to a device I know where the files
are.If I deployed to an emulator, where are the files located?

Can I ditribute the app anywhere?

Depending on the emulator, you can set up a network share. But this would be
a technique that you'd use on a development machine - not something you
could give a customer.

I am really at a lost as to how the emulator works. I trid to execute
emulator.exe, I get nothing. I have downloaded a sample PDA, but I have no
idea what to do with it. Is there any info on how to use it?

As I had mentioned early, I need a way to interatively demostrate the
application. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?

Thanks

I think Ginny (in her first reply) gave a good reason for avoiding use
of the emulator for demos. So I don't understand why you are asking
about its use here.

I think Ginny suggested (rather clearly) two good alternatives in her
first reply.

If you are going to be presenting the demo, then how about running the
app on your Pocket PC, and using a VGA connection to display your
screen? I'm pretty sure I've seen CF Cards that provide such
connections, although I don't know any name offhand; I'm also sure
google will help you find them, but I didn't do so well with a few
quick tries.

Or use the "ActiveSync Remote Display". You can download it with
"Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys" from Microsoft.
