we just received information that the E-TEN E700 has a "spurious private
messages" firmware bug similar to the one affecting the Motorola Q:

this is not really a surprise, since the "Torq P100" aka "E-TEN M500" has
has this firmware bug.

but it clearly shows that MSFT does not have anything to test it in their
test suite, and it may affect applications that use private messages for
inter-thread communications.

devices that are known to have this bug include also the Samsung i-600 and
Asus P525.
