I need to implemente a database footprint on my pocket-pc device (windows
mobile 2003). I see there are the following options: Sql CE, Pocket Access,
and Sql 2005 (possibly still in beta?). My application requires Merge
Replication w/ Sql Server 2003.

My question or confirmation is: I should use Sql CE unti Sql 2005 is
available, correct? Or is Pocket Access capable of Merge Replication, and
more "light weight"?

Thanks,

Pocket Access doesn't support merge replication, it is also deprecated for
future versions of Windows Mobile. Your best bet is to use Sql CE 2.0 now,
and then you should find it fairly easy to move to Sql Mobile 3.0 when it is
released later this year.
