Hello everyone,

I have a desktop utility that performs a task on my PPC, however it says it
can not establish a connection with my PPC. However, ActiveSync is on, and
synched up and green.

Also, this happens sometimes when I try deploying a VS.Net app to my device
too. It is intermittent, though, and I can not determine why or why not my
application won't deploy.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do to trouble shoot this
issue? I really am in need of having my desktop app that connects to my PPC
run.

Thanks for the help in advance

this also happens to me. my PPC is connected via ActiveSync. i can browse
my PPC using Explorer. I can also connect to the Internet from my PPC using
a Passthrough connection. but somehow VS.NET cant find my PPC. i read from
another forum that this is also happening to other people. someone was able
to solve this by formatting his entire computer and re-install everything. i
dont think i have the luxury to do that because of the other programs in my
computer. i do hope someone can give us an answer about this problem. this
is somehow a problem of microsoft and i think should be addressed at once.

I definitely don't have such symptoms, so I'm not a good source of
info. But a possibly relevant idea popped into my head:
Many folks have trouble connecting to the emulators without a network
connection or a loopback adaptor. I definitely don't have more info.
If this seems at all relevant, then I'm sure the topic has been
discussed several times. So google _will_ help, although you may need
to work to find a good search string.

i am connected to a network. i tried connecting to my PPC using a different
computer at work with VS.Net and it was working. i was able to deploy
directly to my PPC. my problem right now is to figure out how/why it is
working on the other computer at work and not on my computer.
