I've been reading about .NET 3.0 coming out with Vista. Does anyone know if
there will be a .NET Compact Framework 3.0? (Obviously nothing to do with
Vista -- just wondering if they're going to keep the versions the same, hence
prompting a new version for CF.)

Thanks for any info,
Steve

Of course there will be a new version. It won't be tied to Vista's release,
but one would expect that just as CF 2.0 is a subset of FFx 2.0, CF 3.0 will
be a subset of FFx 3.0. If we also look at history, CF 1.0 was released
with Studio 03 and CF 2.0 was released with Studio 05. So I'd guess (and it
is only a guess) that CF 3.0 will come with the next version of Studio, and
it will probably be out some time in '07.
