I havenâ??t been coding for my HP 2215 pocket pcâ??s for a couple of months.
Back then all was fine. I had to switch a few lines for an urgent
demonstration, and now Visual Studio.net 2003 can seem to see them.

â??Cannot establish a connection. Be sure the device is physically connected
to the development computerâ?? is how the error reads.

Active Sync works fine, so I know itâ??s connected physically. Iâ??ve rebooted
the dev system and the pocket pc. Per the one note recovered on this topic
Iâ??ve found, Iâ??ve installed windows ce utilities pack, and tried a few
different processor types to no avail. Iâ??m dead in the water.

I've coded a simple application to test, and it works fine in the emulator,
but connection error stops its getting to the PPC

Am I missing something stupid here? I canâ??t figure out what has changed in
the 2 months Iâ??ve been away from coding. Thereâ??ve been a few updates to
windows XP, most notably the appearance of Microsofts new firewall, but Iâ??ve
shut it off temporarily.

I think Iâ??m missing some trivial thing. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Hi,

I had got the same situation, but the difference in time when it worked
and when it had stopped was about 5 minutes. I didn't know what was
happened. After few reboots dev and system it suddenly start working.
I think you don't miss anything.

Thanks Martin... I'm still faced with the same problem. Unsuccessfully, I
just reinstalled visual studio. I'm bummed, my project has come to a dead
stop. Any other suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
