Any recommendations for an anti-virus product for the Verizon XV6700
Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 5.0?

Any recommendations for other products to prevent contamination such as
from spyware?

Thanks.

Since there exists no virus thread for such devices, there is no need for
such kind of a software (yet).

Also, I've never heard of such problems yet in my five years of usage. Just
look out what software you install. Also, WM5 always asks if you launch a
file (exe/dll) for the first time.

Hm... but I still think it's mostly part of the user to stay clean. For
instance: switch off bluetooth when not needed. Use an alternative browser
if there are security risks with PIE and so on...
May be there are some tools that can close ports on the PDA so it becomes
less vulnerable.

McAfee VirusScan Mobile is an awesome product, and has a free 30 day trial:

http://mobile.mcafee.com

Click on "Products"
Click on "Trial Products"
Click on "VirusScan Mobile"

I use it all the time and it doesn't interfere with anything, just pops up
if a virus is detected.
