Hi all

Is there a limit to the number of partnerships you can have setup in
ActiveSync ? 10 ?

I was having some real problems getting it to connect to a device and i'd
tried everything, cables, ports, reinstall etc and couldn't get anything to
work until i'd deleted some partnerships.

I appreciate AS was probably desgined as a 'personal' piece of software
where you use it to sync 'your' one or two devices.

I'm working on a project where we will distribute PDA to collect data and
then I was going to use AS to download the data from them via the mydocs
sync

Now that we have PDA's in qty. This possible active sync limit seems to be a
problem.

I appreciate I can store the data on an SD card or use 'guest' and explore
to copy off the data

When the project is live we could quite easily have 30-40 PDA's that I would
like to sync 'quickly' with one PC

Thanks in advance

Andrew

We support ActiveSync (with an app that uses RAPI) and ftp (client on
handheld). Each customer and/or user can choose. The ftp code doesn't
care about type of connection (wireless, LAN, telephone, ...). So
RAPI/ActiveSync can be convenient, but ftp is much more flexible.

I am obviously biased, but really do think buying our app can be less
expensive than developing your own. Especially if you are at all
likely to make changes (we effectively read scripts to determine what
data to collect, and provide tools so customers can change the scripts
_without_ any need to modify our programs).
