I'm looking at a new fund
"Fidelity 130/30 Large Cap Fund"
(symbol =FOTTX)
and although I can get quotes/info via Google/Yahoo/About / etc , Money
can't find it. So if I were to buy it I would have to manually update it
... for how long ? anyone know ?

Since http://moneycentral.msn.com/detail/market_quote?symbol=FOTTX
has a quote, I suspect Money should have that available really soon
if not already.

Is it possible that you entered F0TTX? They did somehow locate the O
and 0 adjacent on the keyboard. :-(

Cal,
I tried your link - 'bad page'. from msn money I COULD get a price, BUT
...
the way I tried to get the quote was from within M2006 I chose Portfolio
Mgr , then in upper left typed FOTTX and I get:

"No results found for FOTTX "
To me , this meant that database did not know of it. Right ? ( It's not
MSN supplying the qoute info, isn't it Yodlee ? )

Hmmm... it still works for me. Maybe you have some software firewall
or something?

That box in the upper left under Tools and above Bills is for URLs
-- not stock symbols.

It's MSN for quotes.

Sorry my mistake. It's not port mgr page... I click Investing Home (M2006)
and I get the Search MSN Money box in upper left. I enter FDVLX and get 4
hits -info on Fidelity Value Fund - good.
>>Quote: Fidelity Value (FDVLX)
followed by 4 web links to info

I enter FOTTX and get no quote/ no hits.

No results found for fottx
I can see that if no stories written = no hits, but not even a line saying
"bad quote" - just nothing there.

So how come ONE way I get a quote from Money and other = no info ?

So Microsoft Money *does* get correct quotes for FOTTX into the
Portfolio Manager and into the reports etc that represents the
values of your holdings. That's good.

What info that Searching MSN Money from a link in Microsoft Money
returns is out of my purview.
