I direct download DAILY First Usa/BP Visa Card into MS Money 2006. I have
never had a problem. Today I downlload and there are 27 transactions. When I
check to see why, there is a duplicate of every transaction back to 7/6/05.

This has never happened before and I didn't do anything to change the
behavior of the downloads. What's going on? The only thing that I could
imagine is that Chase bank website is being updated this week and Chase now
owns First Usa/BP. Has anyone else had problems with this today?

I did notice one thing that MIGHT be going on. The downloads all had
different downloaded dates. The original downloads had dates were 1-2 days
later than the newer downloads. PERHAPS First Usa has upgraded their service
to post the dates that were closer to the actual transaction dates. Maybe
this is an improvement in their website. I e-mailed them to ask if they had
made changes in their downloading procedures, but of course I have to wait 2
BUSINESS days to get an answer.

I deleted all the Original transactions, left the newer downloads and at
least it didn't duplicate again on the following update.

Same thing just happened to me. 17 transactions on a Bank One VISA, and 25
more on another Bank One VISA

All the transactions downloaded as about 1 day earlier than what was already
in the register. They didn't automatically match despite being mostly
perfect payee names and amounts. I had to manually match all 42
transactions with the originals.

Bruce.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm relieved to know that it is not a
problem with my FirstUSA/BP/Bank One/Chase account. (I don't know how
anyone ever figures out which bank this is anyway, with all the names
that keep changing. :)
