I don't use backup. Rather I just copy the entire file lock stock and
barrel
to the backup media (750 meg zip and USB drives).

The last time I backed up to to a floppy was many many years ago.

I don't know what you mean by a "mini". I would back up to USB flash
drives rather than floppies.

If you back up to floppies, try some new/different floppies to see
if they might be a problem.

First, I would make sure that your backup files work. To do this,
either restore to a different file name or location (not the
default). Or, alternatively, copy your .mny file to a place
elsewhere on your drive, and then restore to the default location. I
don't have a reason to think that your backup files are suspect, but
it seems important enough to test.

I would then create a File->New file with a unique name. Enter a
test item or two, and see if that file has a problem backing up. If
so, consider it must be the installation. If you had the install
disk, I would in that case suggest reinstall of Money to a different
folder.

If the problem does not occur with the new file, I would suspect the
Money file. I would try to make a repaired copy with salv.exe.
