saving customized reports in "my favorites" not working

We periodically get an error message when trying to open a
customized report saved to "My Favorites" and the
customizations are removed, restoring the report to the
default settings and removing it from "my favs". Now,
when re-customizing the report and saving to "my favs" it
does not do so, neither saving the customizations or
putting the new file in favs. Any suggestions?

You do not indicate which Money version using so we don't
know how old it is. Anyway lets say it is ms2003. Have
you updated the MS money software? On status bar (bottom
of window) press internet updates and press update now.
Turn off the quotes and rates and press connect.
If you have already done this then try changing the date
range option.
