If your .mbf was saved by a later version of Money, Money 2001 can
give a bad password indication. That could happen if you did a later
version trial and it saved the backup. If that is what happened, and
you have not re-formatted your hard drive, you would expect to find
a backup of your Money 2001 file on your hard drive named *.mn9. I
would do a Start->Search for *.mn9 on your hard drive(s).
And I would be careful to preserve the contents of the backup
floppies. I would write-protect the floppies and copy their contents
to a folder on your hard drive.
