Microsoft money 2005 came with my computer, but I have no back up cd for it.
A while back I started having some trouble with it-it would not let me sign
in. I had the same sign it and password I'd had all along, but it kept
saying they were invalid. Since I did not have the back up, I uninstalled it
and installed Money 2001. All was good until I had to do a system restore.
Now I click on the Money 2005 (which returned) and in the task manager it
says it's running but there is nothing showing on my desktop. I tried to
uninstall and it says it is missing mny.cif. It won't uninstall and I cannot
install 2001 (says newer version is already installed) or a trial version of
2007 (says I need to uninstall older version). What can I do?

Perhaps this will help to uninstall M2005:

But I am pretty certain you will still need your password information to access
your file.
