I need to set up the opening balance for a mortgage from an asset already
created. Is it a way to do it? Rigth now, I just get a link to a Loan
account, but doing so the balance for the loan doubles. Is it a way to create
a new Loan Account from this asset as an initial payment from this loan?
Please help, Thanks in advance, FABIO

I'm thinking you can create the Loan Account, it gives you the option to
pick an.existing account. It did in M06 when I just tested it. Curiously
enough (these guys never cease to amaze me) this appears to be a one time
option. You set it up one way and that's it. You can't add/delete/change
this association any time after the loan account is created that I can find
in M06. If anyone knows where this can be done, I'd sure like a pointer.

Sadly, Money Loan Accounts know nothing about Transferring the proceeds (a
loan received) or the funding (a loan made) anywhere. Any association is
more in your head than real. See the last two paragraphs of
http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=86 for a workaround.

Dick:
For now, I created a new loan account with everything 0, later I made a
transfer from the asset to that loan and it asked me to change the split
information. I just made the transfer and now they are conected. Thanks for
your answer.
