Ok stupid question here,

I have been using Money (Deluxe Version 14.0.120.1105) for a long time now
on my desktop. I have decided to install Money on my laptop too. What i
expected was to see the same accounts i have on my desktop, on my laptop
too. I entered my netpassport login on the laptop but i see that i have to
set up Money from the beginning. Am i doing something wrong?

PS: From the web page money.msn.com (banking, my accounts) i can see
normally my accounts.

A possible approach is below. Implementing my suggestions are done at your
own risk. Make a backup of the desktop copy before proceeding, and confirm
that restore from that backup works. Store that backup separately so Money
doesn't overwrite it automatically. Others may recognize pitfalls in my
suggestion and, if so, should comment.

1. Make sure that Money is synching with MSN on the desktop. Look at the
update summary page to confirm success.
2. Copy the .mny file to the laptop. Connect to MSN from the laptop. Look at
the update summary page to confirm success.
3. Future revisions of either copy should always conclude with a sync to
MSN.
4. Neither copy should ever be open simultaneously with the other.

Installing Money on your laptop without purchase of an additional copy may
be in violation of your license. Read Help: About to determine that to your
own satisfaction.

Also make sure that the second installation is the same version. If you
purchased M2005 very early on it may be something like v 14.0.120.780, in
which case you need to go on-line and download (automatic process) the
upgrade to 1105.
