Using money 2007 after having upgrade from 2004. Originally started with
Money 2001.

Using for portfolio tracking and years of stock / broker uploads and
transactions the time it takes to change windows or enter transactions is
unusable.

Any way to speed Money up?
Am now looking for other portfolo tracking programs. Any suggestions?
Does Quicken have similar problems?

Thanks

Thanks

Un-tick Portfolio->UpdatePrices->UpdateAutomaticallyEvery__Minutes.

Try this on a copy of your file:

File->Repair->RemoveAllBillsData

This Remove All Bills Data feature would be for people who have
experienced their Money file to run excessively slow.

If you decide to go with that, there are some ways to facilitate
adding back some bills.

I am not sure what your problem is but I have 15 years of data and my file
size is 45 meg and do not have the same issue.

I would suggest doing a file repair. I am not sure if file repair also does
a compaction but there is a way to do a compaction but I can not remember how
to do it.

I recently converted to Money + from Quicken. I was using Quicken 2006 Home
and Business, and experienced incredibly long update times when entering
investment transactions (45 seconds per transaction).

I decided to try Money and have been impressed with how fast it is compared
to Quicken.

I use Money to track several hundred stocks and bonds. Most of my data is
comprised of investment transactions. My opinion is that Money is superior to
Quicken in the investment area.
