    - Chart to show Portfolio Value over time? I'm using Money 2003. I would like to be able to see the $ value I have in my portfolio over time. So that I can weep. Money does have a chart view that allows you to see the PRICE history for a given stock over time - but not the dollar value of your investment in the stock over time. In fact, I can't seem to find a view at all that shows you the net value of your portfolio/individual stocks changing over time. The best I've been able to do is to use the "Net Worth" report and unselect all the other accounts. This has insufficient granularity (months instead of days) and doesn't show individual stock performance. Quicken would do this, and since I've recently switched, I'm a bit lost.     - Money 2004 missing old functionality? On the Bills and Deposits page in the UK version of Money 2001 it showed every re-occurring bill and deposit in the future.     - investment portfolio I have three different investment accounts in portfolio. Each of the three accounts have the same 10 investments in them. When I wish to "buy" shares of one investment in one particular account, it seems to mess up/affect the same investment in the other two accounts. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?     - Money 2003 Delux&Business: Non-cash credits to an invoice? I need to credit a customer with a non-cash credit. For example, take off $20 because delivery was a day late. I want to show the full amount of the product on the invoice and an explicit transaction showing the credit applied. So far, Money D&B seems to insist on applying a credit only through my checking account...i.e,, I can't apply it just by crediting the Accounts Receivable. Any ideas on a workaround? Thx, W.     - Can not cancel Scheduled bill in Money 2002 I high light a scheduled bill in "bills and deposits" and press "delete" but the scheduled bill remains. If I navigate away from the "bills and Deposit" area and then return, the Scheduled bill is gone from the list. If I then close money and reopen it, the scheduled bill I had deleted is back. I also cannot edit this particular scheduled bill series. I can navigate to the edit page but after making changes I press OK and nothing happens, The edit page remains on the screen.     - Background Banking Setup on 2003 Canadian I have set up MS Money so that I use my .Net passport to logon. However when I go into File, Password Manager, Financial Institution Settings there aren't any accounts.     - Forecasting elements I would like to understand how Money computes its "forecasting elements" ??? For example last year I have spend 241 ? for buying new glasses. Now Money is inserting in the treasury screen a new "forecasting element" which is related to this spend. The problem is that it removes 60 ? per month and during several monthes (much more than 241/60)... Where does this value come from compared to the 241 ? ?     - Loans- intrist rate changes daily I have two loans where the intereste is adjusted dailiy. The lowest setting Money will let me do is to set it up for once a month. This throws of the whole loan calculation so it is not accurate. I am sure other people have run into this issue. I was wondering how they where dealing with it. Why doesn't Money let you ajust for this. It is a pretty common thing. The other thing is, I have set up a car loan. Now it is set, is there anyway to go back and add an asset to that loan. I saw I could do it when I was setting up the loan, but by accident didn't do it. Now, I can't find a way to go back and add an asset to the loan, like my car.     - Money keeps printing old account, though it has been closed We are using Money 2002 in my office and our accountant had to recently close a checking account and create a new one. When he tries to print account information from the new account it still prints the infomation from the closed account.     - Where are the Loan Proceeds? I have set up a loan in Money 2003 Canadian Edition. The loan proceeds are being deposited into one of my other accounts. However, MS Money doesn't give me an option to deposit it anywhere. Now that the loan account shows a negative balance (the amount borrowed), I cannot transfer money from that account to my other account without the loan amount effectively being doubled.     - Money 2002 won't sign in to Passport I recently switched ISPs and about the same time, Money 2002 won't sign in to Passport so I can't do background online banking (more of an annoyance than anything). I have checked all my firewall's settings (I moonlight as a network admin when I'm not busy developing apps at work) and have found no problems. I've even reset the switch to be sure. I have contact my ISP and they assure me that there are no proxies in place. I can, however, sign in to Passport via Windows and MSN Messenger, and every Passport-enabled site works fine - it's just Money. So, before I upgrade to 2004, I want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth. Can anyone tell me if they've had problems recently with Money 2002 and Passport? (Besides some other problems like removing your Passport account before removing it from Money as I've seen in prevoius posts.) Or is it just me?     - Trial M04: Mutual Fund prices not updating When does money update the prices on Mutual Funds? I am looking at the portfolio view in Money and it shows me the closing prices for wednesday August 13th, yet I'm writing this the evening (11pm) of August 14th. I've told Money to update the prices and it apparently does so as there is no error reported. My other holdings (for what it's worth, they're stocks) are showing the closing prices for August 14th.     - Money 2004 trial - error on online setup I have been a Quicken user and wanted to try MS-Money 2004. Having downloaded the trial version and after converting my Quicken file, when i try to setup on-line services of any financial institution it gives me error "microsoft money has encountered a problem and needs to close ... " . I tried it after creating a new file with one account and no transactions, with the same result. My system has 512 MB of RAM and still has 2.5 gigs free on hd.     - Missing transactions in budget I have been using M '03 for a few months. I have set up a budget and all seemed well. I have a scheduled deposit (twice a month) in the category Deposit:Salary. These transactions go back a few months and show up fine in Monthly and Category reports. However, these deposit transactions are missing from Budget reports and current budget status. I can't imagine how transactions can be there for transaction reports but not for budget reports. And this bad behavior just seemed to start happening this week. Any ideas?     - Oh, the frustration with simple budgeting and bill paying I uninstalled Money 2003 to 'start over'. Prior to the uninstall, Money's annual budget reports were showing dollars automatically adding to the monthly line item of the budget equal to the amount of an account's transaction, e.g., a bill paid in the amount of $50 automatically upped the budget for that month by $50. Why? Also, when I started over, Money unfortunately remembered in the annual report budgeted numbers used prior to the uninstall. How can I get rid of those to have a'pure' start, again. Now when I sync with my brokerage website, it doesn't find the stock (since Money thinks it's a mutual fund) and it wants to add all the stock shares to my account as new shares. In Money Deluxe 2003, I'm trying to see if there is a way of automatically moving my credit card transaction splits into my checking account when I make my monthly payment. Right now, I'm going into the credit card account and designating which expense categories each transaction should be applied to. Then when I make my payment, I have reenter all those expense categories for the check so that they get entered into my budget appropriately.     - Problem removing shares in Money 2001 When I try to remove all the shares of a mutual fund investment, I get a message that says doing so will cause a negative balance at some point, and advises me to arrange the transactions so this doesn't happen. Obviously removing all shares would bring the balance to zero, but I don't see why it would ever go negative. The same message appears whether I try to confirm a downloaded transaction, or try to do the transaction manually. Nothing I try to work around this seems to work.     - Credit Transactions & Budgets Looking for recommendations: Trying to figure out how to best set up my budget to reflect credit charges and the payments I then make the to the credit card companies. For instance, if I purchase $100 dollars in clothing on my Visa on 8/1/2003, I allocate the charge in my Visa account to the Clothing category. If I run the monthly budget report for 8/2003, it'll show $100 for clothing as an expense. I then send a check to Visa for $100 which also shows as an expense on the monthly budget report. Because this is a very busy folder on my computer that regularly gets synchronized with a backup CD it is risky to keep my key Money files in this location. device defaults to the date format mm/dd/yyyy whilst the
desktop is set to dd/mm/yyyy. as far as i can see both
units are set to the standard dd/mm/yyyy format.

whatever i do can't fisxthe problem.

any ideas ?
