Re: How to change investment "Category" ?? by BillBecker

It's actually worse than that. In the "Details" screen for mutual funds
there is a "Change Asset Allocation" button that appears to let you divide a
mutual fund among various asset classes. However, any information you enter
is not accessible in reports and is not reflected in the Category of the
investment. Furthermore, when you Update Prices Online, any asset class
divisions that you manually enter will be replaced with different values.
These new values will not reflect reality for the mutual fund and usually
don't even add up to 100%. This whole functionality is broken in M2004. I
havenâ??t checked M2007 but will be loading it shortly.
Dick Watson,
This is a common enough question that it should be in the FAQs. I know that
you are busy and way behind with updating those. I would be willing to do a
write-up and send it to you. Email me at Michel&le*and*Bill*@*G()mail.com
(where you should remove all the non-letter characters) if that would be a
help to you.
