I just have a quick question. Assuming that I have entered
all the tax information in Money 2004 correctly, is the
the Tax estimator generally pretty accurate in determing
how much withholding I should use? I'm curious as to
where Money gets it's information. Is it current
information based on 2004 tax year or 2003?

Thank you.

The IRS and turbotax both have online withholding
calculators. I would suggest entering your information
into those and comparing the results. And to be honest,
if you don't get similar results I would trust one of
those two over MSMoney.

For my basic tax situation, ie, paychecks, mortgage, a few capital gains
transactions, and routine deductions, I've found it accurate enough for
estimating purposes. If I get within a couple hundred bucks either way at
the end of the year, I'm happy. Money does that.

I concur with Breton about use of other online withholding estimators. I've
used them and they're quite accurate. Money is, too, as far as my needs are
concerned.
